We bought this for our 8 year old daughter to start going metal detecting with us. We put the battery in and started using it around the house. She LOVES it and we can’t wait to take her out to use it on some digs. It’s lightweight, It vibrates and beeps, it gets more intense as it gets closer, I have no doubt this will be easy for her to use and find some treasure.

I was skeptical but the price to value for what I was trying to use it for was great. It was very simple to use. Tip - use a brand new 9v battery. When it isn’t strong enough it won’t turn on the unit and only the light will briefly turn on. Press the power and it starts to signal metal with faster beeps for proximity. I had an approx idea of where the survey marker was I was looking for but this made it very simple to find and I had tried digging without it only to find out the marker was on the other side of the fence by a few inches.

Works great when relic hunting. Once we find a location with our metal detector we use this to narrow the area down. So far it works great! My son loves it!

If you just need it for occasional use, like finding buried property marker posts, this is the one to get! Found one property marker paved over by more than an inch of asphalt! Also found another buried under a buried brick! Just takes a little patience (it even finds old rusty nails), but much cheaper than the big ones used for metal hunting on beaches. Uses a single 9-volt battery.

Would've probably been a pain if I didn't already have a general idea where the property pin was but finding the covered pin so I didn't have to dig around the area was much simpler using this.
